Wonderpack's Compact Sheet line Extrusion plant caters to the industry need of processing and manufacturing Polypropylene, High Impact Polystyrene and PET sheets specially for thermoforming applications. The sheet line consists of an extruder with T-die and calender rollers to extrude the sheet in desired width and thickness.
Some of the salient features of the extruder are:
• The main drive is a sensorless AC vector / DC drive for stepless variable screw speed.
• Nitro alloy steel barrel with cooloing jacket duly honed after fine boring, with water-cooled feed section.
• In-built thrust housing gearbox with compact base.
• In-built screen changer facilitates quick changing of screen with shortest disruption.
• Coat hanger shaped T-die is center fed with
adjustable lip to set the required thickness and external deckling
to adjust the sheet width
• Robustly built take-off unit.
• Zone-wise individual barrel covers for optimal
distribution of heat and air circulation.
• Synchronized drive ensures ease of changing thickness and output, making it an operator friendly system.
• Common cubicle controls are placed at premium locations for easy operation.
• Machines can also be designed to adopt gear pump if required.
Multilayer or Co-extrusion is the simplest method of producing multi layer sheets with a varying combination of materials. The different types and forms of materials are conveyed from independent extruding units that are part of the main extruder.
The Extruders are designed so as to achieve optimum plasticizing and homogenizing output. The different layers are combined in a super-finished feed-block and they flow througha coat hangar type die to produce the desired structure. Subsequently the multi layer structure is fed into Polishing stack rollers. The precision temperature control and uniform polishing roll movement enables achievement of high surface finish and desired quality of the composite sheet.
